DESCRIPTION:SUSTAINABLE EDIBLE PLANT DIVERSITY FOR TRØNDELAG: A tour of Extreme Salad Man Stephen Barstow’s 3 gardens in Trondheim and Malvik\n12th August from 1000 to approximately 1600\nPrice: Free\nTransport between the 3 gardens is easy by bus. The tour will be in English with Norwegian plant names; questions can be asked in Norwegian. \nMeet at 10am at the Renaissance Garden (Renessansehagen) which is located north of the Ringve Music Museum in the NTNU Ringve Botanical Garden in Trondheim. Here we will see The Onion Garden Chicago\, a collection of over 400 different Alliums from around the world including a collection of old Norwegian accessions. Established in 2017. \nCa. 1200: We will then travel to the Væres Venners Community Garden (see Væres Venner on Google Maps); bus stop Være.\nPlease bring a packed lunch to eat in the garden before a tour. What to expect: The World Garden (Verdenshagen) is a collection of about 200 perennial vegetables organized geographically around a 12m diameter circle\, based on Stephen’s book Around the World in 80 Plants. There’s also a collection of over 200 fruit\, berry and nut  trees in the garden as well as a vegetable sanctuary (the garden is run in collaboration with Norwegian Seed Savers\, kvann.no). This garden was also established in 2017. \nAt around 1400\, we will travel to The Edible Garden\, Stephen’s home for over 40 years.\nSpace is limited in the garden.
