Join us on a garden tour at the Væres Venner Community Garden at Ranheim where we
grow food with a minimal use of plastics and with focus on improving the site for biodiversity.
Owner of the Edible garden in Malvik, Stephen Barstow, who is also a board member of the
Norwegian Seed Saver organization, KVANN* (kvann.no), will lead the tour, showing us
KVANN’s World Garden (perennial vegetables from all over the world), the vegetable
sanctuary / trial field and a large collection of fruit, berries and nut trees. The garden is part of
KVANN’s national Schubelers Hager network (https://kvann.no/schubeler)
*KVANN (Kunnskap og Vern Av Nytteplanter i Norge) is a national interest organization that
